Week 3 is a Disaster!

I managed to create an account in Bloglines as instructed, and thought I had added an RSS feed, even though I couldn't find any orange icons to use, but the next day (today) I didn't have any new items and the old items were gone. The feeder box was empty! I really don't understand the connection between my blog and the RSS information, although after watching the video twice I did understand the link between the reader and the sites you have to subscribe to. I couldn't find an icon to use on the photo of the day page and I didn't know where to take the url if I copied it. This just doesn't make sense. Is week 4 easier to understand? I hope so. And I 'm still a week behind!

This took 2 weeks to do and I had to get help from a colleague to upload the image. I didn't want to invade someone's privacy by using a picture from flickr, so used one I had in my own files. I'd rather be cruising than blogging!

Lynwood

This is my first blog. It has taken me a while to set it up, but I have followed the instructions and consulted with colleagues, so that has been helpful.

This is a professional learning experience only so that I am familiar with what is going on in the world of cyberspace. I doubt that I will ever use much of this technology in my personal life as no one in the world will want to know about my daily life and I don't really want to know about anyone else's daily life.

The video clips have been disappointing from a technical aspect. The first one went too fast for me, the second one of Stephen Fry had a problem with the sound which took me a while to fix, and the blog video kept stopping every few words, resting a few seconds, then starting again. This is not a good advertisement for this modern technology, so I hope it gets better.
Have a nice weekend!
